TRANSPORT BY TRAIN OR BUS

If you don't want to take the car, the train is the easiest way to get north, towards Gothenburg, or south, towards Varberg.

Download Västtrafik's app To Go to buy bus/train tickets. Via the app, you can buy tickets for both Västtrafik trains and Öresundstågen towards Gothenburg, but if you are going south towards Varberg, we recommend that you go to the Öresundståget's website to buy a ticket.

In To Go, you can also buy tickets to be able to travel by both bus and tram within Gothenburg. NOTE, the ticket for a train journey from Åsa to Gothenburg is valid for all journeys by bus and tram within Gothenburg, but only for a number of hours.

BUS STOP

The bus stop on Varbergsvägen towards Åsa Station is only a nine-minute short walk from the cottage. Walk back out towards Varbergsvägen, past Freadals Gård and when you reach the "main" road, you need to cross the road and 50 m to the left is the bus stop.

TRAIN STATION

About seven minutes away by car, or by bus from Varbergsvägen, is Åsa Station. From here you can take either the Västtrafik train or the Öresund train north towards Gothenburg, as well as the Öresund train south towards Varberg.

PARKING IN GOTHENBURG

It can be difficult to find parking in Gothenburg if you don't know the city very well, so we would like to recommend two different parking lots in central Gothenburg where there are often free parking spaces:

Heden and Kungstorget

To pay for parking, download the Parkering Göteborg app. It also works to pay by card in the machine at the parking lot, but the app is recommended.
